Beavers Recruitment opened its doors for the first time in 1990 and soon became recognised as one of the most ‘people focused’ agencies in Swindon, offering a more personal service to both candidates and clients.
Catherine Stubbs, the founder who still runs the company, firmly believed in offering a tailor made solution to client’s needs as opposed to a ‘one size fits all’ approach favoured by some agencies. The success of this belief has resulted in some ‘temporary workers’ remaining with the company for many years, some in excess of 20 years.
Catherine had worked in previous recruitment consultancies, however, thought that their approach left a lot to be desired. She felt that by building a solid sales team, all with a knowledge of their particular industry, and not under the aggressive targets meant that they really did match the candidate to the right agency.
Although initially known as a driving agency with clients such as B&Q, M&S, Iceland, Co-op, Tenens, SDC, JB Global, Timbmet, Homebase, UK Shuttle and many more.
Building on her initial success ongoing relationships were built with clients such as Wincanton for Woolworths where Beavers provided a ‘one stop shop’ for all their recruitment needs.
Beavers also have a large industrial, warehousing division, office, administration team, cleaning, care and nursing division.
